How Much Does it Cost?

Plan from the start to build an Energy Star Home.  It Starts with Framing Methods, and builds from there.

Right from the start contact us to insure that your home will comply with the Energy Star Standards.

Insulation requirements vary with framing methods
Duct Sealing
Furnace & A/C Efficiency
Water Heater Energy Factor
Window U-Factors
Air Sealing (Wiring, Plumbing, Heat Vents, Chimneys, Window and Door openings)

The Cost is NOT TOO MUCH

How much extra does it take to build Energy Star?

Of course much depends on your Sub-Contractors.  Consider what is required.

Increase the R values in your walls from R-19 to R-21 (R-38 in the Ceilings, R-30 in the Floors)
But you're already doing that (Right?)
Install a 90+ Furnace and have the Ducts sealed with mastic. ( No Tape Allowed of any kind)
Gas Water Heater must have an Energy Factor of .61

A Copy of the BOP (Builders Option Package) is readily available from us.

Keep in mind too... There are incentives.  All Energy Star Homes built in the Idaho Power Area Qualify for a $400.00 cash incentives.

Since there are so few builders right now building with Energy Star, Now is the time to make your home stand out.  Market Distinction will give your home the advantage.

Typically, After you receive your incentives, the "out of pocket" expense runs about $1200.00 to $1500.00

A value that is easy to sell.

Also; keep in mind that we are your Energy Star Certified Indoor Air Quality Experts
